The CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing is accredited by the
Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the world's largest
organisation for marketers, and is an advanced-level course. It
will take your high level of marketing knowledge - perhaps from a
marketing or business degree, or gained through years of workplace
experience - and hone it to the level expected of a senior
marketing manager.
You will explore marketing strategy and how it is applied to a
general business context and evaluate the role of marketing
planning and implementation in a range of marketing contexts. You
will also learn to identify an organisation's marketing needs and
assess resource capability to underpin the development of a
business case to support marketing projects.
You'll explore the process of creating a brand and product
portfolio and in putting together an effective marketing team. Once
the Professional Diploma in Marketing course is complete, you'll
have a high level marketing qualification that can boost your
marketing career and take you into an operational or marketing
management role.
As a minimum, the following qualifications or experience are
recommended as the prerequisite for entry onto the Professional
Diploma in Marketing:
The CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing (either 2002
syllabus or the 2008 syllabus)
Or
Any business or marketing Bachelors or Masters Degree (or an
equivalent qualification) where a minimum of one third of credits
come from marketing (ie 120 credits in Bachelors degrees or 60
credits with Masters Degrees)
Or
Experience in a marketing management role that has provided
potential students with the ability to be able to demonstrate that
they can meet the learning outcomes of the CIM Professional
Certificate in Marketing if required to do so.
This qualification has the potential to take your career in
marketing to an operational or managerial level. Almost every
business relies on skilled marketing managers, and you could find
yourself in a position in anything from financial services and
retail to sporting bodies and the arts.
On completion, you'll receive the CIM Professional Diploma in
Marketing.
