Who is it for?
As well as being interested in the general operations of business, you will need to have an interest in the law and how it applies to business. You'll like to analyse, argue, draw conclusions and systematically prove them. You'll find a wide range of business roles benefit from a knowledge of the legal systems, so you may combine your love of the law with a desire to get the best out of people (human resources), balance the books (finance), get the best deals for your company (purchasing and supply) or keeping them out of trouble (compliance).
Where can it lead?
The management skills you gain in this course will equip you for any kind of business management role. Adding a focus in law gives you an additional string to your bow, which you can choose to carry into a specific area (such as HR, finance or compliance) or call upon within a general management position. In addition, you'll gain credibility in the eyes of employers through having completed a degree from a highly respected institution - graduates are by far the most favoured candidates for business management roles.
Salary?
As you'd expect, salaries within the area of business management vary considerably, depending on experience and seniority. As a general guide, graduates generally earn anything between £12,000 and £20,000. With further training and experience, this can rise to between £25,000 and £42,000, with rapid increases as you work your way up to the level of manager or director.
