Who is it for?
If this course appeals, you'll most likely be interested in delving beyond the techniques of education into the thought processes that underlie the process. You'll have an interest in learning about current methods of education and developing them to provide a better standard of learning.
Where can it lead?
A career in education can follow a number of paths. You may go on to complete further study and teach in a school environment, or take your skills into the areas of workplace training or community education. However, you'll find your knowledge of education systems and the psychology of learning can be applied in a number of related areas, such as social work, politics and marketing.
Salary?
Most of the roles offered to graduates of this course are public sector-based. On entry, you can expect a salary range of £14,000 to £25,000, depending on the type of work you are undertaking. Further experience and training should lead to salaries up to around £50,000.
Can I apply?

Period of study
You will study the equivalent of 18 x 20-credit modules over the course of the programme. Each module accounts for approximately 200 hours of study. You are given 8 years within which to complete the full degree.
