Where can it lead?
A number of technical fields make use of the AutoCAD™ system. This course could see you enter the engineering, construction or architectural industries as a trainee CAD operator. With further training and experience, you could become a specialist operator. Alternatively, you may prefer to pursue a career as an design engineer, architect or tradesperson, in which case a sound knowledge of AutoCAD™ will be a highly valuable professional skill.
Salary?
As a trainee CAD technician, you could expect to earn between £15,500 and £20,000 a year, rising to £30,000 with more experience. Senior CAD technicians can earn up to £40,000 a year.
