Who is it for?
As the industry standard qualification for service managers in IT, this course is a must for anyone involved in the field, including IT service and support staff (and managers), IT consultants, project managers, IT developers and chief information officers. It is particularly useful for if you're working in an environment where the ITIL framework has been implemented, giving you a sound knowledge of the fundamentals that you can then apply in your workplace. While you don't need to fulfil any formal requirements to enter the course, you will need to have a good working knowledge of the environment in which IT service is delivered.
Where can it lead?
Being a foundation-level course, this certification will allow you to operate within an ITIL framework. As such, it can give you an edge in employability and allow you to take on roles that may otherwise be out of your reach. Service management positions that involve the implementation of ITIL principles will, however, require further ITIL training.
