Who is it for?
If your ideal legal career is one that involves international travel or dealings with global clients, this course will set you on your way. You'll have completed a degree, or have an advanced level of appropriate work experience. You'll also find this qualification useful if you're working with international issues in a non-legal role and want to add to your understanding of international legal principles.
Where can it lead?
Legal practitioners with skills in international law are very highly sought after, particularly by multinational firms. You could find yourself working anywhere in the world, or travelling to deal with high-level international issues from your organisation's home base. You could also transfer your skills into a related area, such as government, charity, the police force, prison service or local and international NGOs.
Salary?
At this advanced level, salaries in the legal profession can be highly lucrative. With experience to back up your training, you'll find salaries in the region of £85,000 are common. Of course, your career path may lead to roles outside the legal profession: private and public institutions all employ professionals with qualifications in law and criminology, with salaries tending to reflect the candidate's experience and the sector's financial capabilities.

Period of study
This Masters course can be completed in an average of one year (full-time); however, we offer tutorial support up to a maximum of eight years should you wish to extend this period.
