Who is it for?
You don't have to be a natural salesperson to succeed in marketing. But you'll most likely be intrigued by the reasons customers buy products, and their motivations for preferring one brand over another. This course will appeal to the analyst in you, and call on your strategic thinking skills, while also heavily relying on creative thinking. Marketing is a dynamic field, and you'll need to be ready to go the extra mile when it comes to planning and implementing your strategies. Perfect if you're looking for a career where there's never a dull moment.
Where can it lead?
The management skills you gain in this course will equip you for any kind of business management role. Adding a focus in marketing gives you an additional string to your bow, which you can choose to carry into a specific marketing area (such as advertising, PR, events, direct marketing or market research) or call upon within a general management position. In addition, you'll gain credibility in the eyes of employers through having completed a degree from a highly respected institution - graduates are by far the most favoured candidates for business management roles.
Salary?
As you'd expect, salaries within the area of business management vary considerably, depending on experience and seniority. As a general guide, graduates generally earn anything between £12,000 and £20,000. With further training and experience, this can rise to between £25,000 and £42,000, with rapid increases as you work your way up to the level of manager or director.
